In the bustling heart of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, a busy vegetable vendor named Salman Khan found himself face-to-face with DSP Santosh Patel, a distinguished police officer. Salman was initially nervous but the initial fear quickly turned into joy & his face lit up with a warm smile when he recognized the innocent smile on his long-lost friend's face. The two men embraced, reliving cherished memories of their past.
A decade and a half ago, when Patel was a struggling engineering student, Khan extended a helping hand. During those hard times, when the future seemed uncertain, Khan's generosity provided more than just sustenance. He offered empathy, understanding, and a sense of belonging to a boy who was not so sure about his future.
‘He saved a brinjal and a tomato for me every night’.
The DSP also wrote, “I met Salman Khan during my engineering studies in Bhopal. This was the phase when I couldn’t even afford dinner sometimes. But Salman was the one friend, who ran a vegetable shop and used to give me his vegetables for free. Every night he took out a brinjal and a tomato from his stock, only for me and I cooked Baingan ka Bharta and relished it!”
